One last day of heavy rain is expected before a stretch of hot weather makes its way to the Pittsburgh area.
Heavy thunderstorms are in Thursday’s forecast.
AccuWeather's Joe Lundberg expects them in the mid-to-late afternoon hours.
The storms could include heavy rain, hail and high winds.
On the Big K Morning Show Joe also said summertime conditions are on the way.
“The heat’s coming back and it’s going to come back with a vengeance starting this weekend and its going to be the better part of a full week of brutal heat and humidity, starting on Saturday,” said Lundberg.
Highs will reach the 90s and some days could be record-setters.
Summer officially begins on Friday, June 20.
