A 21-year-old Maryland man is wanted by North Huntingdon Township Police for selling high-end, fake trading cards at Norwin Town Center in late January.
The victim told police he was in the business of buying and selling trading cards.
He told officers he had found four rare and expensive “One Piece” cards being sold on Facebook Market Place.
He met the seller at Norwin Town Center and bought the cards for $15,000.
In the process of trying to sell the cards, he was told by the shop employee that were fake.
Police were able to track down the seller and by executing a search warrant on his cell phone, they were able to identify him as Joel Brown and put him at the point of sale on the day of the transaction.
Brown is facing charges of theft, receiving stolen property and simulating objects of antiquity and rarity.
"One Piece" is a popular manga series from Japan.
