The nation’s Capital was under siege Wednesday afternoon as lawmakers worked to complete the Electoral College tally.
“It was sickening and frightening to see what had happened when a mob-rule mindset takes over and people lose that sense of what should be happening at the U.S. Capital,” Said former Congressman from Pennsylvania Tim Murphy during the KDKA Radio Morning Show on Thursday.
Former Congresswoman Melissa Hart also weighed, telling KDKA Radio “None of this is acceptable. I mean, this all year long – violence has been downplayed by a significant portion of our media, by a significant proportion of our elected officials.
"And you know, just yesterday, is just an example of what happens – I think – when people think that maybe they are allowed to be lawless,” she said to KDKA Radio’s Larry Richert.
Congress reconvened in the evening to finish confirming the Electoral College vote for President-elect Joe Biden.
