State environmental leaders are issuing a warning after dozens of mosquito pools have tested positive for West Nile Virus in the state.

Four people in Pennsylvania have come down with West Nile Virus so far this summer - all on the eastern side of the state, according to the state DEP's Jennifer Stough.
She warns we're still approaching peak mosquito season, so it's best to be prepared and take a look around your house.
“Anything that you can think of around your house that might hold water for five or more days could potentially breed mosquitoes. Removing those habitats, completely eliminate them from your home.”
Locally, mosquitos carrying West Nile Virus have been detected in Allegheny, Beaver and Indiana Counties.
