The Pennsylvania Senate approved a bill Thursday to allow the state Department of Revenue to go after the tax refunds and lottery winnings of toll dodgers. The legislation now heads to the House.

An internal Pennsylvania turnpike report issued in July and obtained by The Associated Press through a Right-to-Know Law request showed that about 11 million of the total 170 million turnpike rides did not generate any revenue, in the fiscal year ending on May 31.

Much of the desire of the State to pass this bill is to help recoup the millions of lost revenue as a result of toll dodgers.
