A couple is accused of stealing more than $1 million dollars from their son's heating and air conditioning business.
District Attorney Stephen Zappala says Joseph and Tasha Ravas are facing theft and other charges after their son, Chris, discovered 66 checks payable to cash or his father and mother totaling more than $211,000.
He estimates his parents drained more than a million dollars from PNP Heating and Air Conditioning in Coraopolis.
Chris also told detectives his father recently bought a house in Mexico for $1.2 million.
Joseph and Tasha Ravas were denied bail and are due back in court on the June 25.
“My sincerest condolences go out to the victim and his business,” said DA Zappala. “Running a business is not an easy thing today, let alone to find out someone has been stealing from you. We take these kind of cases with the utmost seriousness.”
