It's official. PennDot has announced the Commercial Street Bridge will be demolished Wednesday between 1pm and 9pm. This is weather permitting and will only happen after crews have cleared the perimeter and the blast radius on the ground and in the air. Making sure everything is safe. Residents should be prepared for a very loud sound and additional dust afterward but it should not be a disruption to your daily routine. You can watch the demolition on PennDOT's website. There will be a more specific timeframe as details develop. Once the bridge is gone, workers will slide the new bridge into place.
