Penguins President of Business Operations Kevin Acklin stepping down

After seven seasons with the Penguins, Kevin Acklin has resigned as the team's president of business operations.

KDKA's Marty Griffin reports Acklin will remain with the Penguins as an advisor until the end of the year.

Kevin first joined the Penguins in 2018 as senior vice president and general counsel, and was named president of business operations in 2022.

In a statement, Acklin says he's looking forward to the next steps in his career and continuing his service to Pittsburgh.

Penguins owner, Fenway Sports Group were part of the announcement.

It was reportedly recently that FSG is considering selling a minority stake in the Penguins.
