The Pittsburgh Penguins are making business operations staff cuts.

The Business Times reports more than a dozen employees were let go, including some high-level executives.

Among the positions that were cut: chief revenue officer, senior vice-president of partnership marketing and operations, and senior vice-president of partnerships.

None of the cuts are believed to be involved in hockey operations.

The Penguins were bought by the Fenway Sports Group from the group run by hall of famer Mario Lemieux and Ron Burkle in 2021.
