PennDOT is watching a section of Route 8 near Harts Run Road, where rocks appear to be falling from a hillside above.
PennDOT's Lori Musto tells KDKA that engineers were there Thursday to examine what has been falling and the condition of the hillside.
"Right now there's nothing out there that's alarming. There is a little bit of a rock overhang there that we're watching and at some point we will go down and try to knock that down, but right now there's no major concerns out on Route 8", she said.
Musto said that crews will be out in the next few days to clean up the rocks that fell off of the hillside.
