Now is as good a time as ever to support a small business.

It's small business week in Pennsylvania, a time to highlight the importance of supporting the locally owned restaurants, mom and pop grocery stores and other businesses that make communities unique.
Department of Community and Economic Development acting secretary Neil Weaver says there are over 1,000,000 of them in Pennsylvania.
“Small businesses contribute to the culture and fabric of communities in which they reside. They provide a sense of place and local identity, in addition to the economic benefit they bring.”
As part of small business week, the state DCED will visit Zelienople later this week.
