Out of the tens of thousands of people who turned out to watch the fireworks fired from Point State Park, 33 were treated by EMS and four patients were transported to the hospital.
Three people were treated for minor injures after a firecracker was set off near the Wyndham Hotel.
The majority of the injuries occurred when someone in the park set off firecrackers causing people to run from the area, believing shots had been fired.
A 70-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after she suffered a head injury.
Detectives made two drug-related arrests, four non-traffic citations were issued for disorderly conduct, harassment, and fighting.
"I would like to thank all of our Department of Public Safety personnel for their professionalism and hard work in keeping people safe during the busy Fourth of July holiday. There were larger-than-usual crowds and Police, Fire, EMS, and the Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security were readily accessible and available to assist with emergencies and incidents," said Public Safety Director Lee Schmidt.
