Family asking for help locating missing cockatiel

Pittsburgh's Headlines: June 26, 2026

Snowy bird missing in Upper St. Clair

Ashley Marie

A family in the Pittsburgh area is asking for help finding their beloved bird.

The Del Bianco family in Upper St. Clair is looking for their cockatiel Snowy.

She went missing around noon on Thursday on Hays Road. It happened when a child opened a door, and Snowy flew out.

She was located in a tall tree near Sunnyfield Drive but “was too scared to come down.”

When the storms began, Snowy flew away and has not been seen since.

Ashley Del Bianco tells KDKA Radio they believe Snowy is still in the neighborhood.

Ashley says Snowy will respond to her name with a flock call and that “she loves chips! She might even come to you if you shake a bag.”

Anyone that sees Snowy is asked to call 412-425-4426.
