A man from Hickory was killed Sunday night when he lost control of his vehicle in Peters Township.
The Washington County Coroner says 37-year-old Alexander Lauterbach was headed North on Washington Road around 8:30 when his vehicle went off the road and then rolled over several times before stopping in the parking lot at Waterdam Centre Shopping Plaza.
Investigators say Lauterbach's seat belt was fastened, but the shoulder belt was not being used properly.
He was taken to a local hospital where he died. A passenger was also hospitalized, but no additional information about that person is known.
