We're starting to get a glimpse of what the proposed massive development being constructed along the Ohio River will look.
The $600 million 'Esplanade' on the North Shore will include apartments, condos and retail space.
Developers for the project have released new renderings, showing plans for a swimming pool, a splash pad that will also serve as an ice rink during the winter months, and a giant Ferris Wheel, which was invented by Pittsburgher George Ferris.

Real estate firm Piatt Companies says it is currently preparing to take the plan to the city for approval and will encompass nearly 15-acres.
Groundbreaking is expected this fall.
Piatt says Esplanade means “promenade over water.”
“Esplanade will create connectivity to our neighbors, environment, rivers, amenities, and new economic and job opportunities for our region,” Piatt says on its website.
