It’s well known that Pirates closer and Pittsburgh native David Bednar enjoys an I.C. Light now and then.
The Pittsburgh Brewing Company has announced the “Renegade” is now featured on I.C.
Light cans around the Pittsburgh area.
Bednar is the first “active professional athlete featured on a Pittsburgh Brewing and I.C. Light can,” PBC said in a release.
The connection between I.C. Light and Bednar goes back to 2022 when the Pirates closer was gifted a case of I.C. Light instead of the tradition champagne when he made the All-Star Game.
Then, in 2023, Bednar began appearing on PBC billboards around Pittsburgh.
“Being from Pittsburgh, it’s so awesome to partner with a local company like Pittsburgh Brewing Company. This is even more special given how much Iron City means to our community and all the good it does for it. At the end of the day, everything tastes better in Black and Gold. Let’s Go Bucs!,” says Bednar.
