It’s one of the things that is critical for a community to thrive. There has to be trust with the local police department.

One officer in Pitcairn recently went above and beyond to service his community.

A mother, named Dee, and her son, named Z, were looking for help on how to tie a tie.

Z was attending his first school dance.

They contacted Detective Caruso who was able to get a hole of her partner, Officer Linebarger.

Linebarger was able to help Z “making sure the length was perfect at the built line,” a post on Facebook stated.

“Community Policing is very important to the Pitcairn Police Department! Knowing that our residents know that they can come to our department and to our officers to assist them with a task so small of tying a tie is very important to us,” the department added.
