Craig Street in Oakland is about to undergo a transformation.
The University of Pittsburgh has hired the Boston-based design firm Sasaki for some planning work and improvements on Craig Street and the university's property there.
Pitt controls multiple properties on Craig, including administrative offices and apartments.
In addition, Carnegie Mellon University is working to move power lines underground along Craig.
The Pittsburgh Business Times reports that both Pitt and CMU will be collaborating over the next two to three years to complete the project.
