Anthrocon has been canceled due to the pandemic for a second year.
Organizers of the annual furry convention held in Pittsburgh made the announcement in a message published to their website and Facebook Sunday.
"We had high hopes but at this point, it looks like that we will not be able to safely hold the convention. As such we have come to the unfortunate conclusion that the convention will be canceled this year," wrote the organizers.
They say they are planning a virtual convention for 2021 and are moving forward with planning the return of an in-person event for 2022.
This year's convention was schedule for July 1-4.
