Pittsburgh-area Pizza Hut bringing back classic elements

A local Pizza Hut location has brought back in-restaurant dining and is planning to bring back other favorites aspects that 80s kids will remember.

First reported by Ambridge Connection on Facebook, The Pizza Hut in Baden has reopened its dining room after years of only offering carry-out and delivery.

The Regional General Manager, Charlotte tells KDKA Radio she took over the store about two weeks ago and has plans to make her location feel like one from the chain’s heyday.

She says, while the dining room is open, they are working on getting Pizza Hut plates, cups and other items.

Customers can come in and order at the counter and then sit down and enjoy their pizza.

Charlotte is also ambitious and is hoping to bring back other elements of the Pizza Hut of the 1980s and 90s that made it so popular.

The salad bar, buffet and arcade games.

While those additions are not set in stone, she wants to make her Pizza Hut on Ohio River Boulevard feel like a step back in time.

“I also plan to make decorate the restaurant for all the holidays,” said Charlotte. “I just want to make this location be the best it can.”

She says that the fountain drink dispenser was taken out a while ago after a corporate decision, but she is working on getting plenty of 20-ounce bottles.

No word on if the red cups and “good ice” will also be available.

While you can dine-in now, she says they’ll have many of the upgrades in place over the next several weeks.

The Baden Pizza Hut is open from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday – Sunday.

Charlotte also says to keep an eye out for the return of the Pizza Hut Taco Pizza!
