A long-time restaurant will close this weekend.
The Grant Bar in Millvale has been in business for 90 years and has been a gathering spot for generations.
The last day of operation is Saturday, November 29.
“The Grant Bar has been far more than just a restaurant; it has been a true institution—a cornerstone of our community and a reliable gathering place across three generations of families.” Millvale Mayor Brian Spoales wrote on Facebook. “For nearly a century, it has represented the very best of Millvale's spirit: warmth, unwavering hospitality, and a deep sense of connection.”
Spoales adds the decision by the owners was “difficult, yet necessary.”
“While The Grant Bar’s chapter is closing, the spirit it fostered will undoubtedly inspire the next generation of local businesses. Millvale will miss you deeply,” said Spoales.
