Pittsburgh City Council President praises road crews after snowstorm

A lot of areas throughout the city are still covered in snow from the big storm. Pittsburgh City Council President Theresa Kail-Smith says city workers are doing the best they can with limited resources.

"A lot of times what happens is that our crews are working so hard. They are working 24 hours a day. We have some of the best employees just doing a lot of really hard things. It makes you feel so bad that you know they're killing themselves trying to get out there," said Kail-Smith.

She tells Marty Griffin on NewsRadio KDKA that the city is waiting for more than 12 new trucks to arrive, but deliveries have been delayed because of COVID-19.

In the meantime, Pittsburgh's public works acting director, Chris Hornstein, said in a statement this morning that the goal is to "have all streets plowed" by tonight.
