Time magazine's annual list of the 100 most influential companies features two with headquarters in Pittsburgh: Dick's Sporting Goods and Duolingo.
The magazine says Dick's "is proving that the sharp decline of brick-and-mortar stores is not universal."
Earlier this year, the sporting goods retailer announced it is buying Foot Locker for $2.4 billion.
About Duolingo, Time says the company has turned "an educational app into a cultural phenomenon."
Duolingo more than doubled its monthly active users from 2022 to 2024.
