Police make a fast arrest after someone allegedly threw some fireworks under a city police cruiser in Downtown Pittsburgh.
The suspect was wanted for allegedly trying to start some fires on the North Shore.
In an interview with KDKA's Marty Griffin, Police Chief Jason Lando says the man was then spotted in the Golden Triangle.
“They were able to track him over to Downtown, he threw some sort of incendiary device under one of our police vehicles, thankfully no officers were injured and we were subsequently able to get him into custody in front of the Red Door down on Stanwix Street,” said Chief Lando. Lando said he swung by to make sure the officers and the vehicle were okay.
The suspect has been identified as 36-year-old Jeffrey Rotunda.
He faces several charges including arson and criminal mischief.
