KDKA Radio’s Colin Dunlap has learned that a man that was hit by car during a hit-and-run incident that killed his dog in Mt. Washington is a registered sex offender.
Ethan Cardone is registered with the Pennsylvania State Police’s PA Megan’s Law database.
He was convicted of “sexual abuse of children” in 2014.
A GoFundMe set up to “help Ethan heal after tragic accident and loss of (dog)” has raised over $17,000 of a $30,000 goal.
Cardone was walking his pet early Sunday when the pair were struck on Bailey Avenue.
Last night, police found the vehicle they believe was involved: a black 2009 Lexus RX350.
Cardone was last listed in critical condition. His life was saved by two nearby good Samaritans.
