A Pittsburgh man has been arrested following a shooting that took place Downtown Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened around 3:45pm on Seventh Street, close to Fort Duquesne Boulevard.
According to police, 46-year-old Christian Johnson of the Knoxville neighborhood had an altercation with another man who was on a bicycle. The driver ended up jumping the curb and crashing into a PAT bus shelter. Police say he then got out of his vehicle and shot the cyclist in the leg.
The cyclist was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
Johnson has been charged with criminal attempt homicide, aggravated assault, aggravated assault by vehicle, gun charges, receiving stolen property, recklessly endangering another person and reckless driving.
Police say this was not a random act. They say both men know each other.
