Sunday is the return of the Dicks Sporting Goods Pittsburgh marathon.
52,000 people are expected to participate in either the full or half marathon or some of its smaller races.
And, that means road closures, beginning on Friday at noon on the Boulevard of the Allies between Wood and Stanwix Streets.
Road closures for the kids marathon and other events in Downtown and the North Shore will begin at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday.
Saturday closures

Most of the closures for the main marathon will begin Saturday night, so beware of parking restrictions.

Runners from all 50 states and over 30 countries are expected to participate in the marathon on Sunday.
There are other events happening on Sunday, including the Pirates hosting the Reds at 1:35 p.m. and Pitt's commencement, 3:30 p.m. at Acrisure Stadium.
