Business and restaurant owners in Pittsburgh's Market Square are eagerly awaiting the completion of the construction overhaul of the square that has been underway for months.
Jordan Nicholas of the iconic Nicholas Coffee Company says the re-development is having a negative impact on business owners in the square, at least for now.
“I think for some businesses, it might have been a little more challenging than others, but definitely whenever it became like a maze in front of the store, that was a little more difficult whenever they had to close down the sidewalks close to private buildings, it wasn’t too bad for us,” said Nicholas. “I can’t say the same, maybe, for like the restaurants.”
The ribbon cutting of the redeveloped Market Square is still weeks away.
