A Pittsburgh pizzeria has been ordered to closed after over 15 violations, including three considered “high-risk”.
The Allegheny County Health Department says Paisano’s Restaurant & Pizzeria on East Warrington Avenue in Allentown has an active sewage backup along with “insufficient plumbing” along with other violations.
Those include an ice machine in the basement affected by a sewage backup also affecting three out of four floor drains, a meat slicer with food from the previous day dried on it and mouse droppings found in the kitchen and basement.
The location is also operating without a valid health permit. The previous one expired last June.
The closure remains active on the Health Department’s website. Any updates can be found here.
