Pittsburgh police investigate two robberies that happen within hours of each other

Pittsburgh police are investigating two robbery incidents that happened within hours of each other at separate businesses.

The first one happened around 2am on Friday in Oakland on N. Craig Street. Police say a man entered a store, smashed a cash register behind the counter and stole less than $100. The man fled on foot.


The second incident occurred about three hours later, just before 5am Friday at a store on Banksville Road. Police say a man who entered a store, went behind the counter, grabbed scissors and demanded cash from the registers. He too fled on foot. It's unknown how much money he got away with as he fled on foot.

Nobody was injured in either robbery and police were able to obtain video of both. The investigation continues.
