A retired Pittsburgh Police K9 has died.
The K9 Unit shared the sad news in a Facebook post Monday along with a number of photos of K9 Bobbie.
A message posted with the photos reads:
"It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of retired Pittsburgh City School Police K9 Bobbie.
K9 Bobbie served the Pittsburgh City School Police from August 2015 through January 2021 when he retired. K9 Bobbie has spent the last several months in retirement with his handler, Pittsburgh City School Officer Dante Borghini and his family. K9 Bobbie passed quickly with his handler and partner at his side on June 21, 2021.
RIP K9 Bobbie.."
