Pittsburgh Police looking for man that broke into home and stole money and student ID

Pittsburgh Police are asking for help identifying a man they say broke into a home over the weekend.

The home invasion/burglary happened in the 1600 block of Beechwood Boulevard on Saturday around 1:30 p.m.

Police say the man broke into the home while two juveniles were inside. He took a “large sum of cash” and a school ID card that belonged to one of the teenagers in the residence.

The suspect told the teens he now had their information and would come back to them if they told police what happened.

The man, described as white, 6-feet-tall, 220-pounds with blue eyes, was last seen walking down the driveway of the home and heading northbound on Beechwood toward Alyesboro Avenue.

He was last seen wearing a black tassel cap, black peacoat, khaki pants and was carrying a black shopping bag with red handles that had a heart logo on it.

Anyone with any information is asked to call 412-255-6520.
