The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Downtown Pittsburgh is Saturday morning at 10.

The parade formation begins at the Greyhound Bus Station at Liberty Avenue and 11 Street and winds its way through downtown, eventually ending at Commonwealth Place.

And, Pittsburgh police say concerns in the department won't deter them from making St. Patrick's Day celebrations safe.

Commander Jeffrey Abraham says things like the uncertainty about who will be leading the force, staffing issues and reports of low morale will have no bearing on how officers will be prepared for Saturday's parade, and subsequent celebrations on the South Side.

He says police are resilient.

“I can’t tell you how proud I am of them, through everything, the changeover we’ve had, that they just continue every day to be professionals and they will be professionals and they will do their job and make sure the city’s safe,” said Abraham.

Pittsburgh Public Safety posted all the information you need to know, if you’re attending the parade.
