Pittsburgh Regional Transit and its union have agreed to a special deal paying workers time-and-a-half to double-time during the Draft to handle high-stress, high-volume service.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the deal, partially funded by a $350,000 grant, includes premium pay for unionized employees working the three days of the Draft, with top rates exceeding $90 an hour.
The deal also will pay employees double their normal pay for any overtime or extra days worked Thursday through Saturday.
