A Consumer Alert has been issued for a restaurant in Pittsburgh.
The Allegheny County Health Department says Sichuan Gourmet on Murray Avenue in Squirrel Hill failed a reinspection on Wednesday.
A total of 12 violations were reported, including three considered high-risk.
Among the high-risk violations, a rodent infestation was discovered.
Inspected says that five dead young mice were fond on a floor next to the wok line.
Too many too count fresh mouse droppings were found in several areas including within fryer cabinets, under a sink and around a grease trap, under shelves in a dry storage closet, under a table in the kitchen, under each booth in the dining room and several other areas.
A box of fresh mouse droppings was found at the bottom of a box of onions. Those onions were thrown away.
A box of shelled peanuts on a shelf in a dry storage area had chew marks on it. Those were thrown away.
Also, a deli slicer blade was found with dried food debris on it from earlier in the day. That blade was cleaned, but is a repeat violation.
Heavy dents were found on cans of hoisin and soy sauce in a storage closet. Those cans were thrown away.
