A restaurant in Beaver County has been listed “out of compliance” after an inspection by the Department of Agriculture’s food safety program.
China Sea on 3rd Avenue in New Brighton was hit with five violations after an inspection on Thursday.
Some of the violations include raw eggs and meat stored above ready-to-eat foods in a walk-in color. The raw foods and read-to-eat foods were moved during the inspection to a proper location. Inspectors say that is a repeat violation.
A large amount of raw chicken was being held at 45.4 degrees in a prep sink, above the safe temperature of 41 degrees or lower. Chicken was returned to the cooler and the facilities were told to prep a smaller amount moving forward.
Inspectors also say some refrigerated ready-to-eat food was not dated properly.
