PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) — Just after 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, Pittsburgh River Rescue responded to the site of a male found in the Ohio River.
The male was reported near the West End Bridge.
The 35-year-old man was immediately pulled into River Rescue's boat, and CPR was initiated.
The boat transported the man to the River Rescue boathouse, found near PNC Park, to meet with ground medics.
The man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
The police have opened an investigation into the incident.
