Pittsburgh Police are investigating three deadly shootings in 24 hours.
The latest one happened in the city's Homewood neighborhood.
According to Public Safety, the shooting occurred around 5 Wednesday morning in the 7000 block of Idlewild Street.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man shot in the chest, unresponsive.
The unidentified victim died a short time later.
It’s the second shooting in Homewood within 24 hours.
The person killed in a double shooting Tuesday afternoon in Homewood North is a 29-year-old East Hills man.
The Medical Examiner's office says Shakir Jackson died at UPMC Presby after the shooting inside a convenience store in the 7200 block of Frankstown Avenue.
Police say a person of interest was detained.
And, a woman was killed in a shooting early Wednesday morning in Bedford Dwellings and police are searching for a suspect.
Officers were sent to the 2500 block of Chauncey Drive a few minutes before 3 a.m.
Public Safety says the woman was shot in the head outside an apartment and a heavy-set man ran from the scene.
