Caller Connie was trying to get to her home in Carrick. She says Route 51 was completely flooded.
“I made a left, up Baldwin and the water running down Baldwin was like a river,” said Connie.

Three Pittsburgh City Schools shifted to synchronous remote learning today due to a power outage.
The affected schools are Pittsburgh Arlington Pre-K-8, Pittsburgh Spring Hill and Pittsburgh Schiller 6-8.
The McKeesport area school district is closed today with flexible instruction due to the weather, along with the Mt Lebanon, Bethel Park, East Allegheny, Greater Latrobe, Hempfield, Mt Pleasant, Norwin, Penn Hills Penn Trafford, Riverview school districts with no remote learning.
Mt. Lebanon was one of the communities hit especially hard by the storm and Oakmont is under a state of emergency after heavy rain and high winds brought down power lines and trees across the borough.
Pittsburgh Mayor Corey’ O’Connor says his team is talking with Public Safety and other agencies to assess last night’s damage as well as preparing to additional storms possible Friday.
Another strong storm is heading our way from Ohio on Friday.
AccuWeather’s Heather Zehr says there is a 70 percent chance of heavy thunderstorms, possible flash flooding and damaging winds on Friday.
She is expecting the rain to come through around noon into the early afternoon.
