An 18-year-old Pittsburgh man is facing federal drug charges.
U.S. Attorney Stephen Kaufman says Tyrell Revis has been charged with possessing Fentanyl and crack cocaine.
According to the criminal complaint, Revis was stopped by Allegheny County and Munhall Police on May 12 for speeding. He was allegedly doing up to 65-mph in a 25-mph zone.
As officers approached the vehicle they say they saw Revis and a female passenger making furtive movements.
After they two exited the vehicle, police say they saw five bricks (250 stamp bags) of a substance which later field tested positive for fentanyl.
According to the U.S. Attorney's office, Revis admitted to police that he tossed those five bricks of drugs to his female passenger.
In addition, police found an additional 30 bricks (1,500 stamp bags) in the center console of the vehicle.
There was also a child in the back seat. Police found a gun under a diaper bag in the back seat and another substance in a diaper, which later field tested positive for crack cocaine.
If convicted of the charges, Revis faces 20 years in prison, a $1 million fine or both.
