The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has confirmed that a tornado touched down just southeast of Ellsworth in Washington County during the severe storms that hit our area on Saturday.
National Weather Service teams are also scheduled to examine the damage path from the area south of the Washington County Airport to near Connellsville.
As West Penn Power works to get everyone's power back on in their coverage area, right now there are still 9600 customers in Fayette County without power, 8100 without power in Washington County, and 1200 without power in Westmoreland County.
