The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium is being sued in federal court by the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

The Post-Gazette reports that the Cleveland Zoo is for alleged trademark infringement due to the Pittsburgh Zoo's use of the event name "Asian Lantern Festival."

The Pittsburgh event is scheduled to take place from August to October of this year.

The Cleveland Zoo, whose Asian Lantern Festival event begins in mid-July, is asking the court to stop the Pittsburgh Zoo from using the name and to cease promoting the event, claiming use of the name could cause confusion among visitors.

The Pittsburgh Zoo's attorneys filed a response claiming the phrase "Asian Lantern Festival" is widely used and that the Cleveland Zoo didn't file for trademark until three days before filing the lawsuit.
