Fans of the television show “Hell’s Kitchen” on FOX have a local rooting interest.
Mattias Butts, a Sous Chef out of Pittsburgh, is one of 18 contestants on the show that began its 22nd season last Thursday.
The episodes were filmed in winter 2022 in California.
The theme for this season is “The American Dream”.
Butt is one of the members of the blue team (men), facing off against the red team (women).
Butts was working at Vallozzi’s Pittsburgh at the time and currently works at Alta Via Restorante in Fox Chapel.
A graduate of Franklin Regional, the 31-year-old Butts tells KDKA Radio what it means to be on the show.
“Being on the show is an absolute dream come true. I’ve been a fan of the show all my life and to be able to add my name to such a distinguished list, is such an honor,” said Butts.
The second episode, “Tad Overwhelming” airs on Thursday.
