Pizza place in Oakland ordered closed over sewage issue

The Allegheny County Health Department has closed an Oakland Pizza place due to an issue with sewage.

An inspector visited Pizza Romano after receiving a complaint.

Upon inspection, evident of blockage was observed in the sewer line for the facility.

When water runs the sew cleans out on the sidewalk in front of the store with bubbling sewage.

Sewer gas is also “prevalent” inside the store.

The issue could be coming from the Pizza Romano’s number, the Garage Door Saloon, which was condemned by the city in 2021.

An inspection noted that raw sewage was seen in 50 percent of the facility.

“By the walk-in coolers, restrooms, and ice machine.”

Floor drains were bubbling with sewage.
