A popular pizzeria, made even more popular by a recent visit from Barstool Sports founder David Portnoy, suffered heavy fire damage over the weekend.

Ianni’s Pizzeria in Delmont says a fire broke out late Saturday night after they closed.

No one was hurt during the fire, but the store suffered “extensive damage”.

“We will do everything we can to get open as soon as possible,” Ianni’s said in a Facebook post. “We have amazing staff we need to open quickly for as well. We will use this time to strengthen quality and service at our other two locations Ianni's of Vandergrift Ianni's New Derry / Babe's. And to open our new location in Johnstown. Ianni’s at Pickin’ Chicken.”

Ianni’s also expressed its gratitude to the first responders that helped after the flames broke out.

Portnoy, who is also the host of One Bite Reviews on YouTube recently rated Ianni’s during a trip to several Pittsburgh-area pizzerias.

Ianni’s Pizzeria in Delmont: 7.7

“Tangy sauce, good crust, I like this more than I thought I was coming out of the box,” said Portnoy. “Shockingly high” score he added, because it looked “sloppy” and undercooked, but wasn’t.
