Plans in place to convert Squirrel Hill Rite Aid into community market

While dozens of shuttered Rite Aid stores pepper the area, there are plans to convert one into a new neighborhood market.

The Pittsburgh Business Times says entrepreneur Isaac Glassner plans to convert the vacant Rite Aid at Forbes and Murray Avenues in Squirrel Hill into Murray's, a store offering local produce, baked goods and prepared meals.

Plans are still in the early phases, but the store is expected to have a kosher focus.
