The West Jefferson Hills School District notified parents Wednesday after a staff member became visibly ill at Pleasant Hills Middle School.
The letter says emergency personnel were called and that some students may have witnessed the incident.
It does not identify the staff member or explain what caused the illness.
Court records identify Robert Thomas Hasak as the person charged with public drunkenness in connection with an incident dated September 24.
The case was filed Friday and is active.
The district tells KDKA Radio it contacted local authorities and does not condone the alleged conduct, but is calling it a personnel matter and will not comment further.
