Pittsburgh Police were called to a home in the Homewood neighborhood Monday night for a reported assault.
One man was arrested. He them told police about a large number of animals apparently living inside the home.
Animal Care & Control was called in when officers found the animals living in poor conditions. With the help of Humane Animal Rescue, two goats, two pigs, four chickens, four reptiles and one scorpion were taken into possession.
In addition, three dogs that were being kept outdoors in cold temperatures were also taken.




Police say the investigation continues. They also remind residents to call police or Humane Animal Rescue to report animal abuse or neglect.
