Police investigating three Western PA shooting over Memorial Day weekend

Police are investigating three separate shooting incidents over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

The first shooting occurred at the Elks Lodge on Staunton Street in Farrell, Mercer County, following a fight between 22-year-old Layonte Hammonds and 23-year-old Yishmael Lee.


Police say Lee shot Hammonds around 2:30 Sunday morning.

Hammonds was rushed to UPMC Horizon Shenango where he was pronounced dead just before 3 a.m.
Sunday morning.

Police are still looking for Lee, as he's been charged with first degree murder.

On Sunday night, 20-year-old Jacob Wilson Forcina was shot and killed at a home along Murray Avenue in Uniontown.

No suspects have been announced.

Also, on Sunday, two men were shot in McKeesport.

Both were transported to the hospital in stable condition.

No word on any suspect descriptions in that shooting.
