UPDATE FROM POLICE: The dog has been turned over to the County Dog Warden and taken to a licensed facility that hosts strays.
Police in McCandless are asking for help after a dog was found abandoned, in the rain, and tied to a tree.
McCandless Police say the dog was tied to a tree at Potters Pond.
They will be checking the dog for tags and will see if it has a microchip with any information when they take it back to the station.
